WHILE YOU’RE AT IT
Yes, and we bench-test every head unit first — current draw, ACC sleep behaviour and CarPlay / camera function — before it goes anywhere near your car.
Power draw and how the unit behaves when power is applied, an ACC sleep check (simulating the ignition wire turning on and off, to catch a unit that keeps drawing power with the ignition off), and feature checks: the reversing camera input and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connecting properly. It does not prove every fault, but it catches issues early.
The price on each setup is the starting point: CQ confirms the head unit, your vehicle’s fitment, available stock and any additional work in your quote. No extra work should be assumed without an agreed quote.
It depends on your vehicle and the head unit. Steering wheel buttons often keep working through a control interface, and a reversing camera can be shown on the new screen. Tell us your vehicle and what you have now, and we’ll confirm what is possible before you commit.
