ECU & MODULE REPAIR
Car ECU & Module Repair Brisbane
Electronic module inspection, power, ground and communication diagnosis for vehicle ECUs — repaired at board level with microsoldering and proper test equipment.
What we fix
A "dead" module is often a single corroded trace or component, not a reason to replace it.
- No-communication faultsA module that's dropped off the vehicle network entirely. See our ECU no-communication repair case study.
- Capacitor & corrosion damageLeaking capacitors that corrode traces off the main processor's legs.
- Power & ground fault diagnosisTracing supply and earth faults that cause erratic module behaviour.
- Board-level microsolderingRebuilding traces too fine for standard hook-up wire.
- Module inspection before replacementA proper assessment before you pay for a new module.

Common questions
My ECU has stopped communicating with the vehicle — can it be fixed?
Often, yes. A no-communication fault is frequently corrosion or trace damage from an aged leaking capacitor rather than a dead module. We inspect the board under magnification to find the actual cause.
What causes ECU corrosion damage?
Aged electrolytic capacitors can leak mildly acidic electrolyte that eats through nearby copper traces over time, sometimes reaching traces connected directly to the main processor.
Do you repair vehicle control modules other than the main ECU?
Yes, we inspect and repair a range of electronic modules for power, ground and communication faults, not only the primary engine control unit.
Will you beat a cheaper quote from another Brisbane repairer?
Yes. Every ECU and module repair booked with CQ Electronics already includes an automatic 5% discount off the quoted price. If you find a genuine lower price for the same repair elsewhere, we will beat it by 5%. The price beat can't be combined with the 5% off, so you get one or the other.
